Netgear routers running factory firmware often have a built in telnet daemon that listens on TCP port 23. Accessing this hidden command line interface (CLI) first requires sending a magic packet to the daemon, to unlock it. The "telnetenable" utility generates and sends the packet to the router.

This is the Solaris/Linux/OS X implementation of telnetenable and includes the executables with source code.
