WN Series Open Source Firmware

I notice that I get a stronger wifi signal in the far side of the house with the router's left side facing that way.

My laptop signal level changes from 71% to 77%.

My android tablet signal level changes from good to excelent.

All levels are relative as I have no way to measure real dBm.

This is with a stock antenna router in the vertical postition running tomatoUSB at 42mw power.

The Peacock thread on the DD-WRT forums states that the recommended DD-WRT build is r14929 and I'm wondering what the recommended Kong build is; is Kong r14929 the recommended build, or is there a more recent stable build?

My main conscern is lightening the load, which is why I am looking towards Kong as, from what I understand, it strips out a lot of unneeded stuff (Chilispot, etc.), however I've read that some people have had issues with the most recent Kong build (r22200)

I need help and I’m not sure if I am on the right track. I want to block all ports for one specific IP address. Only the TCP port 5223 should be open. The reason for is that I don’t want that my kids are using the internet all night long with their mobile phones. They have computers and with them it is much easier to filter unwanted content and websites. Could someone explain me how can I handle this with a iptables script?
