PXE boot server?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to set up my WNR3500L router as a PXE boot server.

Of course I read the only DD-WRT documentation which seems to relate to PXE, but the author didn't imagine that it would be desirable to host the boot image directly on the router, and instead assumed there would be another server.

Anyway, since a TFTP server is required, I've tried enabling TFTP on the router by following this information, and replacing /opt/ with /mnt/, where I have my USB storage device mounted.

However dnsmasq fails to run with these options and I don't know if dnsmasq is even compiled with TFTP server support on my ROM.

My router is running the DD-WRT Kong Mod 15758. It has ProFTPd installed, should/could I use that instead of dnsmasq's TFTP?

I really would like a clear step-by-step guide on how to get my router to be a PXE boot server.

Thanks!
