R6100 and OpenWRT

With the R6100 getting official OpenWRT support, is there any possibility of helping to iron out kinks?

 

I know that several people have had issues with the 5GHz radio working or firmware crashing.

 

Is there also a possibility of a factory firmware image in a bin file so that we could revert back to factory? I'm only seeing the files in an img format.
